Job Description

Job Purpose: The Information Coordinator will provide organization, coordination, order fulfillment, and communication support for the Vermont Alcohol and Drug Information Clearinghouse (VADIC). VADIC provides free public information publications and resources on substance use, prevention, recovery and behavioral health to all Vermonters. We seek an Information Coordinator with a blend of attention to detail, creativity, and strength-based approaches to work.

The Information Coordinator will focus on three distinct areas of work:

1. Directing all aspects of the Vermont Alcohol and Drug Information Clearinghouse.

  • Maintain the VADIC website,; it’s offerings; marketing; and ease of online ordering
  • Fulfill all mail orders with exceptional accuracy, speed, and customer service focus
  • Work closely with the Vermont Department of Health to maintain publications inventory and new offerings
  • Maintain all reporting on orders and demographics
  • Facilitate regular meetings of the communications review committee
  • Stay abreast of best practices in treatment, recovery, and prevention
  • Create active social media campaigns and newsletters for VADIC on multiple platforms with support from the Vice President for Communications
  • Maintain all communications sent through the VADIC website, email, and newsletters

2. Serving as an external liaison and advocate by providing information at conferences, events, lectures, and celebrations.

  • Serve as the public face of VADIC at numerous conferences and events throughout the year.
  • Serve on relevant leadership committees in the recovery and prevention communities
  • Plan and host information distribution tables at conferences and events
  • Grow the engagement of VADIC in new forums: libraries, daycares, harm reduction settings, etc.

3. Working as a valued member of our staff.

  • Responsible for attending regular staff meetings
  • Work with other departments to integrate VADIC into their work
  • Support other departments, projects and trainings when needed


  • We seek candidates who are strength-based, hardworking, and who are committed to kind and collegial relations in the workplace.
  • Proven experience with web-hosting and web updating. Tech savvy and willing and able to learn new tech platforms, as well as social media and newsletters.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Highly organized, has a desire to develop systems, organizational processes, and workflow
  • Proven self-starter.
