Training Description: Join Michael Hill, Jr., Founder of EJH Futures, LLC, in an exploration of Equity as a foundational part of ethical Recovery Coaching.  This interactive training will engage participants in understanding some of the nuance involved in equity, how ‘doing no harm” as a Recovery Coach requires coaches to practice their craft through an equity lens, and how to work though situations where inequities are at play.

About the Trainer

Michael Hill, Jr. MSW (he/him/him), holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Vermont (UVM) and is now pursuing his Doctorate in Education at UVM. His professional and personal journey has provided him the opportunity to empower and learn from diverse youth, young adults, and their families in a variety of community and educational based settings. Through, his own personal equity consultancy business EJHFutures LLC, he has facilitated workshops and provide space to discuss multiple issues about equity and healing racial harm. Especially, reframing the dehumanizing and racist foundations of substance use programming/policies/cultural realities in our society. This specific focus or passion stems from the combination of professional and personal life exposure to how inequity manifests in the realm of AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) services and support.
