Vermont Recovery Coach Certification

Welcome to everything you need to know about becoming a Certified Recovery Coach (CRC)

Recovery Coach Certification is the nationally recognized professional credential for Vermont’s recovery workforce. It represents a professional commitment to supporting those living in or seeking addiction recovery, and upholds the highest standards of training, experience, and commitment to evidence-based practices. Certified Recovery Coaches (CRCs) all meet the same rigorous standards for certification and renewal.

Recovery Coach Certification is for those who have completed the Vermont Recovery Coach Academy (Vermont’s intensive 46-hour training program), are working in recovery support resources, and are looking to pursue the next level of recognition for their work. Certification is currently the highest prestige designated to Recovery Coaches, and it represents Coaches’ upmost commitment to furthering the field of recovery in Vermont and nationwide.

Vermont’s Recovery Coach Certification is nationally recognized and supported by the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC), the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Vermont Department of Health, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs (ADAP), and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
