Every year, over 12,000 people in Vermont leave substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. We're on a mission to support their continued recovery. Recovery Vermont celebrates substance use disorder recovery in Vermont through trainings, advocacy, and leadership programs.


Peter Mallary is retiring!

The Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery is at once happy and disheartened to announce the retirement of Peter Mallary, their longstanding Vice President of Government Relations, effective June 1, 2021.  Melissa Story, the COO of VAMHAR notes that “Peter will be deeply missed and we have the warmest wishes and gratitude for him.  It will be hard to imagine our work without his daily presence!”  

We’re hiring a Program Coordinator

Recovery Vermont is hiring a full-time Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will provide organization, coordination, and communication support for Recovery Vermont’s nationally recognized and credentialed training programs. We provide the training for Vermont’s recovery workforce and seek a training coordinator with a perfect blend of attention to detail and strength-based approaches to work.

Vermont Recovery Coach Academy

Recovery Vermont is home to the Vermont Recovery Coach Academy. The Vermont Recovery Coach Academy is our evidenced-based, comprehensive, and interactive training designed to equip participants with current tools, skills and resources vital to becoming an effective Vermont Recovery Coach.
